Rand Paul filibustered the nomination of John Brennan as Director of the CIA to make a point. One that the White House grudgingly got a day later, as Obama’s press secretary finally admitted that no, the president couldn’t unilaterally and without due process have an American killed on American soil. He’s right; the Bill of Rights covers every American, without exception.

I’ve heard this mentioned by Rush Limbaugh on his show, and seen numerous references to it on the interwebs. Folks seem to be in a tizzy that those stupid Democrats kicked themselves in the ass by inserting a provision into the Obamacare bill that they jammed down our throats last year that doesn’t allow the government to require gun and ammo registration. This is, of course, a hot topic these days, now that our progressive overlords are looking for a way to prevent another Newtown incident – they can’t, but they won’t mind infringing on your liberties while they try.

I wonder why no one in the media is interested in his financial background? The guy’s been in the senate since 1987, and never made more than the current $174,000 salary. So how’d he get to be worth $10 million? I saw somewhere on the internet where he’s had some shady financial dealings – it’s a pretty reliable source, so I think it’s up to Reid to prove he hasn’t done anything illegal.

If you believe the DNC’s television commercials and the Petulant Boy-King, this “jobs” bill (translation: porkulus 2 – or is it 3?) thing needed to happen yesterday. Funny – for something that was such a freakin’ emergency, it doesn’t seem to be generating much urgency from the President’s own party. From The Hill:

A bipartisan group of senators has signed on to a letter calling for ending current subsidies being paid for ethanol production and blending ethanol into gasoline. From Greg Sargent at the Washington Post:

Good ad from Carly Fiorina.
Left Coast Rebel has some interesting information about Barbara “Don’t call me M’am” Boxer’s record in the Senate.

I saw a link to this on an email I get daily. Since she won the Republican senate primary, O’Donnell’s campaign has raised over $1.5 million. I presume they’re still collecting.
