These statistics are pretty-well known to anyone who cares to look them up. Interesting presentation for the graphically-oriented fact gatherer. The ones about blunt objects and fists are amazing.
Welcome Ace of Spades HQ readers – thanks for the link, guys.

That is exactly what happened to the Moores in Carney’s Point, NJ. Father Shawn Moore posted a photo of his son Josh holding a .22 caliber rifle that was a birthday gift. Days later, child welfare workers and police show up and demand to see his guns.

This has never happened before. Wonder why the administration felt is was necessary to take this step? Don’t they trust the Marines? (H/T Nice Deb)
“Didn’t know the Marines had to take the bolts out of their rifles for the Inaugural,” an email forwarded to Gun Rights Examiner from a United States Marine Corps source observed. “Wonder if someone can explain why [they] would be marching in the inaugural parade with no bolts in their rifles!”

From No Lawyers – Only Guns and Money, some video from an information meeting in Buffalo about New York’s new gun law. These guys don’t seem like they’re ready to comply.

I’ve heard this mentioned by Rush Limbaugh on his show, and seen numerous references to it on the interwebs. Folks seem to be in a tizzy that those stupid Democrats kicked themselves in the ass by inserting a provision into the Obamacare bill that they jammed down our throats last year that doesn’t allow the government to require gun and ammo registration. This is, of course, a hot topic these days, now that our progressive overlords are looking for a way to prevent another Newtown incident – they can’t, but they won’t mind infringing on your liberties while they try.

Hmmm. Seems like there’s two sides to this gun-control “debate.” These people are obviously not down with idiots like Piers Morgan, Mayor Doomberg, and Andrew Cuomo, and the rest of the lib know-it-alls that want to demonize law-abiding citizen gun owners, and restrict their Constitutional rights. Liberal heads are exploding…

And, more than twice as many people are killed with hands and fists than are killed with rifles. Could it be that people really kill other people, with whatever they can find, and the Democrat’s attempt to ban certain types of rifles is really just misguided self-serving demagoguery? The Reverend Al Sharpton wanted to go after knives after they ban handguns and rifles. What’s next? Licenses to carry an assault hammer?

This sort of idiocy is par for the course for this intellectual giant. Ms. Lee of Texas wants law-abiding gun owners to “turn in your guns” as a response to the shooting in Connecticut. I’m sure that the criminals would love for us to do that. I’m also sure that millions of law-abiding citizens would rather tell Ms. Lee to kiss their gun-totin’ ass. As for Dick’s Sporting Goods, I’m seriously considering NEVER shopping there again after their PC move to stop selling sporting rifles.

Ted Nugent owns a lot of guns, for all kinds of purposes. The greatest gun he ever owned was his first: a Daisy Red Ryder BB gun.
I’ve never apologized for guns and never will. There are no bad guns, only bad people who either use guns in the commission of a crime or others who try to ban guns and keep other free, law-abiding Americans from having the means to defend themselves. It’s real simple. Bad people do bad things. Guns cause crime like spoons cause obesity. Precision marksmanship, or playing the guitar the way Chuck Berry would want me to, has never come easy to me. Gung-ho practice, perseverance and persistence is the only way I know.
