FLOTUS is busy organizing another nanny-state-knows-best campaign to tell you what to eat or drink. This time, it’s #drinkH2O”, and she’s using claims that just don’t stand up to scientific scrutiny.

Par for the course when busybody liberal do-gooders get involved in making decisions for local concerns. But hey – Michelle (and all other liberals) doesn’t care; it’s the intentions that were important; not the results. Besides, it’s someone else’s money, right?

For a trip with supposed “diplomatic significance.” Yeah, right. It’s good to be the queen.
First Lady Michelle Obama is staying Monday evening in the $3,300-per-night Princess Grace suite of Dublin’s Five-Star Shelbourne Hotel, according to Irish press reports, adding some credence to accusations she is in the city for a quick vacation at taxpayer expense.

I only watched for a couple of hours, because I had been at a music rehearsal for a theater production I’m doing until 9:30. 11:30 rolled around, and they still weren’t done, so I decided to give up and go to bed. I’m glad I did, because they had a “surprise” and had Moochelle Obama appear to present the Best Picture nominees, and then the award. I’d have hated to go to be with that image in my head. Why do the president and first lady feel like they need to insert themselves into sporting and media events? Sure, Harvey Weinstein asked her, but couldn’t she just have said no, it’s not really proper Don’t we see enough of them already? No, of course she couldn’t. It’s as though they feel that they are celebrities themselves, which to me is unseemly and not befitting their roles as leader of the executive branch of government and his spouse. They’re not celebrities; they’re public servants – or at least they’re supposed to be.

I know – all presidents and their wives take vacations. It seemed, though, that all the Republicans who “vacationed” during Christmas went to their own homes or ranches. But then, why would Obama want to go to Chicago? The weather isn’t very nice there in winter.

Michelle Obama basically said that Republicans are rampant liars when it comes to defending Americans’ right to vote (White House Dossier). Of course, as is the pattern with liberals, she didn’t give even one supporting bit of evidence to back her claim. It’s just the seriousness of the allegation that makes it newsworthy to the liberal media.

Only problem is the election isn’t on November 2.
(Weekly Standard) Michelle Obama, speaking yesterday at a campaign event in Florida:
So that one new voter that you register in your precinct — think about it — that one neighbor that you get to the polls on November the 2 I want you to understand, that could be the one that makes the difference. That one conversation, that one new volunteer you recruit, that could be the one that puts this over the top.
The presidential election this year is November 6.

Hey Mooch – here’s an idea: as soon as you win your first gold medal in the Olympics, then you can start telling people what they should eat. Until then, how about shuttin’ up?

In between vacations, the Mooch wrote a book about gardening at the White House or something. I wonder how much time -aside from photo opportunities with giant zucchini- she’s actually spent there? Anyway, she wrote a book about it, and she’s going on a book tour, in between campaign fundraisers, and vacations. If you want to get a copy of it, and have it signed, you have to give a copy of your ID to the Secret Service:
