keynesian stimulus pipe dreams
By marfdrat on June 10, 2013
This is the same guy who helped fashion the Stimulus-that-Accomplished-Nothing and Obamacare. Great. The country is in the best of hands. Notice that Wile E. Obama, CEO of the ACME Economic Destruction Co. called him “brilliant” – maybe we need less of his kind of brilliant, you know, before we go completely under.

The people hurt the most by it are the ones who think Obama’s doing (or is going to do something) for them. He’s doing it, alright. Wile E. Obama and the ACME Economic Destruction Co. are right on schedule. Yep: two, three more years ought to do it.

Whose job, exactly, does it save? The guy at the unemployment office?
I keep thinking that sooner or later the masses of Americans are going to wake up to the bullshit that the Obama administration is shoveling, but since they’re getting checks, I guess they don’t need to.

Yeah, it’s just the noisiness in the data. Tell that to the 368,000 that dropped out of the labor force, bringing the labor participation rate to the lowest level in more than 30 years.

Obama’s Going to Give Us His “New” Economic Plan after His Vacation. Let Me Guess: More Shovel-Ready Projects?
By marfdrat on August 17, 2011
Sounds like more of the same from the Petulant Boy-King and his Council of Pointy-Headed Keynesian Advisors:
(From AP) Seeking to jolt the economy, President Barack Obama will propose new ideas to create jobs and help the struggling poor and middle class in a major speech after Labor Day. And then he will try to seize political advantage by spending the fall pressuring Congress to act on his plan.

That’s what he tries to insinuate here – yeah, it didn’t have anything to do at all with Obama’s crazy spending spree, or the fact that the Democrats haven’t managed to come up with a budget in almost 3 years. Nor did it have anything to do with the fact that they want to continue to pour trillions more into economic “stimulus” – a proven failure of an idea. Yep, it’s the fact that those crazy Tea Partiers don’t want to raise “revenues” (i.e. massive tax increases on just about everybody who bothers to work) that S&P issued a downgrade. Axelrod is a delusional moron, a stooge for Obama’s massive pile of fail.

We finally got a debt ceiling deal, and averted the so-called “financial disaster” that was looming. Funny, the stock market absorbed the news in a pretty negative way. My own IRA account has dropped 11% in value this week. Super. So if raising the debt ceiling, with (supposedly commensurate) cuts in spending, why is the market reacting so negatively? The Patriot Post has some ideas (my emphasis added), supported by some disturbing, and ominous numbers:

That’s the assessment of James Pethokoukis, Money & Politics columnist for Reuters. In his column today, entitled “Obama (*DfOaLG) really might have made it worse,” Pethokoukis lays out the carnage wrought by Obama’s big fat trillion dollar Keynesian stimulus package:
Obama Wants MORE Time (and presumably, billions more $) to “Fix” the Jobs Mess – Good Luck With That
By marfdrat on June 29, 2011
Incredibly, despite the promises he’s made about the hundreds of billions in stimulus dollars already flushed down the drain, Obama (*DfOaLG) wants more time (and presumably, more money) to get the job done.

American Crossroads has prepared an excellent retort to Obama’s smug joke about the “shovel ready projects not being quite shovel ready.” Help make it viral; send a link or embed it on your own site. The Prevaricator in Chief needs to be roundly mocked for joking about the gigantic stimulus projects that produced nothing and wasted hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars. Yuk, yuk, yuk. Millions of unemployed are not amused.
