While you celebrate Earth Day being green, or whatever it is that people to on Earth Day, read a little about the interesting history of the great day. I especially like the part of how, despite no proof of any ill effects on humans or animals, DDT was banned. Millions of third-worlders have died as a result. If you are, you’d better clean it after each use. Lots of folks use these bags to save the environment, or something, though the supposed benefits are hard to quantify. Turns out these reusable bags carry more than your groceries. Last year, there was a story about a norovirus outbreak that was traced to one of those bags. Here’s a portion of that from WebMD:

Sorry for the lack of posting over the last several days (it feels like longer than that to me). My father-in-law passed away last week, and my family has been busy with -as my late father used to say- the “accouterments of death.” With all of that going on, I haven’t really had much to say, or much stomach for the Republican primary political circus, or anything else. I will get my motivation back in the next day or so, and get back to the business of posting about Economics & Politics, Liberty & Freedom, and Stuff I Like.
