The president said just this week that he wants to focus the remaining years of his presidency on addressing income inequality. Looks like D.C. will be a good place to start. Median family income there has exploded past the rest of the States. (via ZeroHedge). Doug Ross has an excellent suggestion: cut every non-defense discretionary agency budget by 50%. That would perhaps make a dent.

Prepare for more redistributionist schemes, you middle-classers. My guess is Wile E. Obama and his merry band of progressives at the ACME Economic Destruction Co. will be taking another run at raising the minimum wage – and putting even more low-income people on the dole.

Wile E. Obama and the rest of the clowns associated with Obamacare just keep on producing fail. After the colossal fail of Healthcrap.gov on October 1, the top brass decided they’d have it all fixed by December 1. Guess what? Not gonna happen. Now, they’re prepping for more fail by saying “it won’t be perfect.”

Wile E. Obama and the rest of the cronies at the ACME Economic Destruction company must be giddy with this revelation. I especially like the stat about the ratio of government benefits to dollars paid in taxes (bolded).

Nope, it never crashed. It’s functioning at “very slow speed” and “very low reliability.” George Orwell, please pick up the white courtesy phone…

Nancy Pelosi famously opined on the pending Obamacare legislation: “We have to pass the bill to find out what’s in it.” They did pass the bill, and now millions of Americans are finding out -to their considerable dismay- “what’s in it.”

The Obamacare site’s busted, so they’re bringing in the A-Team (who, apparently, weren’t available on the first try).

Why would they do this, if the exchange is such a smashing success? I love how they released the number anyway: 14. Fourteen people have signed up for Obamacare in North Dakota since October 1. That’s less than one per day. Maybe that’s why they don’t want the number out there.
“Best and Brightest” to Fix Obamacare Site in Tech Surge. For $500 Million, Shouldn’t They Have Done That First?
By marfdrat on October 20, 2013
The rollout of the Obamacare website, healthcare.gov, has been a complete well-documented disaster. The government, in its classic incapable manner, managed to spend half a BILLION dollars for a site that just doesn’t work. Take heart, working-class tax-dollar generators: they’re going to fix it. At what cost to you, we’re not sure, but they claim they’ll have the “best and brightest” working on it.

Classic. The vacationer-in-chief scolds Congress about getting back to work, and not making problems. Wile E. Obama could never be responsible for any of the effed-up situation we’ve got going these days.

Wonder how many government employees it will take to enforce
all these rules on unsuspecting citizens? How many hours of business productivity will be killed trying to figure out how to comply with the rules? How many jobs will that kill?

…or not, suckas.
Two weeks in, the massively expensive taxpayer-funded boondoggle that is healthcare.gov is still not working. A CNN reporter has been trying for two weeks just to set up an account, with no luck. Take heart, though, little people: you can still enroll over the phone or by mail. Hey – didn’t we have those options before they spent over $500 MILLION to build a website that doesn’t work? For Wile E. Obama and the ACME Economic Destruction Co., everything is going according to plan.

Chalk up another success for Wile E. Obama and the ACME Economic Destruction Co. Everything is proceeding according to plan. Government actuaries say that Obamacare will actually bend the cost curve UP, not down.
Shutdown Kabuki Theater: 90 Year-Old WW2 Vets Visiting Memorial=Not Okay; Congresspukes Attending Immigration Reform Rally on National Mall=Okay

A planned immigration reform rally will take place on the National Mall on Tuesday even though the site is closed due to the government shutdown.

But wait – I thought premiums were going to go down $2500? Oh, that’s just for Congresspeople, I guess. See the chart nearby for the amount of butt-hurt coming to your neck of the woods.
