I was born here in Richmond, Virginia just over twenty-five years ago. Like many Richmond natives, I think Richmond is a total gem and I am willing to punch anyone who disagrees. I’ve really only ventured out of Richmond once, and that was to further my education… and my adult beverage tolerance.
I left to attend Radford University, where, at the highly mature age of eighteen, I attempted to map out my entire future. I wasted countless hours and dollars ruling out Latin, Broadcasting, Art, Biology, etc. Finally, being a textbook Libra, I decided to sum up each class with a “Pros and Cons” list. I quickly discovered that the common denominator in my “Pros” pile was Writing. So, after I did the math, I found my calling!
I now know that I was born to write. Writing, in just about any arena, is a strength and a passion of mine. Time permitting, I try to volunteer for any and all activities that allow me to share and exercise my writing talents- including blog contributions!
That being the case, I can’t wait to use marfdrat to combine my love for “Richmond stuff” (and other fun) with my love for Writing.
