One response to “What’s the One Thing Public Schools Consistently Teach?”

Consistency is always a challenge. One minute it’s “guns are bad” and the next its “army-lite?” Either public school is militaristic or it is not.

Citing the Thai education system- which has a strong communal component that mirrors the Thai culture- is absurdly myopic and factually challenged. (Of course the source is a single NYTimes article about which the commentator opines, so the conclusions are necessarily thin.) You would think all that brainwashing would have resulted to something other than open rebellion in Thailand. Students are at the forefront of rebellion opposed to a corrupt military regime that took power in a 2007 coup.

So much for the creation of a nation of docile sheep.
