Michael Moore figures that folks who own guns for personal protection are really just racist (what else would he say on MLK Day?). Rachel Maddow knowingly mmm-hmms. I love the way he’s mystified by the cause and effect relationship between gun ownership and crime rates: “if murder rates are so low in your town” he asks, “why do you need to own a gun?” Can they really be that dense? I suspect not. Facts, it turns out, are inconvenient things.
